FINALLY SPRING maybe

Okay here is an update for everyone:
I am still working for the University of Utah Dermatology. I am still studying and trying to finish my RN one of these days:) The chairman of the department has just told us he is moving the clinic to another building. Hooray!! We will still be in Murray so I don't actually have to deal with the hospital. We should be moving buildings around July 2009. I have been busy going to weddings, birthdays, dance recitals, and plays. I have been flying my kite every chance I get but since it seems to want to still snow I have not had many days to do that.
SPRING:
I love the green grass, the flowers, the baby animals, the fresh scents in the air that only happen with spring. So here are some pictures of spring.

HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE

Amazing Video

This video my mom sent me and it is just amazing even if you don't know anything about horses. Just know that what she does is hard enough if you have a saddle and a bridle.

Happy Birthday to Me (yesterday)

It seems weird to be 28. Some moments I feel like I just graduated high school. But yet the very next thought is that I am happy where I am at in my life. It quite different from what I had envisioned when I was in high school. I remember my dream back then is that I would be working at the Olympic Training Center developing fitness programs for the athletes there. I would be married and have kids and of the course the perfect marriage (HA! HA!) and of course I would never have lived in Utah or still be living in Utah.

So lets see I have lived in Utah for the past 5 years. Instead of developing fitness programs for athletes I am helping people find out what they are allergic to and assisting in removing skin cancer. I am not married and I don't have kids. What I do have though is the title of favorite AUNT. Which I love!!! I am not only an aunt to my brothers and sister kids but to many of my adopted nieces and nephews.

I would never have thought that I would be here but it is a good thing that someone else is actually in charge because I am loving where I am at right now.

I think back and have noticed how by very little events how I have been placed where I have needed to be. I will always remember the day in high school when I received a note saying that a representative from the University of Wyoming wanted to meet with me. I almost didn't go the only reason was because it got me out of a boring class. That meeting changed where I went to college. I loved my time in Laramie. I gained friendship there that I have still today and are thankful for.

I remember when I received a post card advertisement about a school where I could get my nursing degree but in order to do this school I had to become a medical assistant. The only problem with this is that it was in Utah. But hey I finish my degree and I can get out of Utah.

I remember after finishing my medical assisting that I could not get a job for the life of me. I finally applied to the University of Utah Dermatology because I was running out of options. I remember thinking I really don't want to deal with acne and warts. I got the job and have loved every minute of it.

I know this is where I am suppose to be and I am thankful that my Heavenly Father knows me and knows what I need and when I need it even though most of the time I think I know better.

Finally

So you thought I would have pictures of the new place; sorry no such luck:) I am still trying to organize and hang pictures and such. But I got tired of waiting to blog so I will just update you and then some time in the future I will have pictures of my place.
Lets start with right before Christmas as I was headed out of town I was able to hook up with Michelle and her family for a quick chat and to finally meet Annie. :)
I then headed to Grand Junction for Christmas and about 10 days off from work. HOORAY!!
I had a great time. It was fun to be home with just Mom and Dad. I didn't have to sleep on the floor because of the grandkids;) I was just able to relax and enjoy the holiday. We woke up to a white Christmas which was nice. We normally don't get those in Grand Junction. I was also able to catch up with old friends who I had not seen in a while. First I was able to see my friend Casey who I grew up with but since high school have missed being home the same time he is, so it has been almost 10 years since I have seen him. It was great to talk with him and see his new wife and baby boy. It also reminded both of us that we have been out of high school for 10 years. SCARY!
Another friend that I grew up with is Monica. I haven't seen her in 3 years. We both couldn't believe how much time has past. Her family is getting ready to move back to Grand Junction after being in Phili for the past 4 years as her husband finishes Dental school. So she is one person who I should be able to see everytime I head to Grand Junction now! HOORAY AGAIN!
After new years I headed back to Utah. I am refreshed from a great vacation. Back to same routine of work, sleep, eat, studying.
Here are some pics from my move and christmas and some misc pics. ENJOY!

HAPPY DAY!!!!!

IT IS OFFICIAL I HAVE MY OWN PLACE:)
This has been a great day. I went and signed the lease and did a walk though. Stephanie came over to check it out. She wanted to see it before and after I move everything in. I went back and forth from my apartment a couple of times taking little things over and I just start smiling when I open the door.
This is the livingroom and front door. This place has a window on every wall. So it lets in a ton of light.
Here is the outside of the fourplex. I am upstairs and on the side the picture was taken from.
This is the bedroom.
This is one of my favorite things even if it is considered old. The stove has push buttons in order to turn each of the burners on.
This picture was taken from the livingroom looking at the diningroom (HA!HA!) Around the corner is the kitchen.

Thanksgiving and more

I figured it was time to update this. Normal life has been happening with a few new things. I decided to be like some of my nieces and nephews and lose a couple of teeth. I had my wisdom teeth pulled couple of weeks ago. To bad the tooth fairy forgot where I lived and I didn't get anything for them.
I had a good Thanksgiving. I just stayed around Salt Lake City but friends and family took pity on me and feed me dinner. I decided to take after my Uncle Kenny and hop from house to house in order to be fed. The question was how much can I eat? :) I actually ended up at my friend Amy's house helping cook and eat a wonderful turkey with all the trimmings. I then left and went to cousin Neil and Cora's house where I had a great time visiting with them and their family. I walked in though and their daughter Stephanie said you must belong to Carol Lynne because you sound just like her! All the cousins seem to think that I sound just like mom. Mom and I don't know about that but whatever.
I have a huge issue with the world and how it treats Thanksgiving. I think that if it weren't for football the world would not even stop for Thanksgiving. That irriates me. I love Thanksgiving because it has nothing to do with presents and it is our time to stop and remember who, where, and what we have come from. Okay I will get off my soap box now:)
So here are a few things I am thankful for:family, friends, work, green grass, flowers, trees, smiles, kids, Wendy's :), temples, testimonies, homes, hot chocolate, music, etc... LIFE IS GOOD!
On Friday I went down to John and Pam's and had another Turkey dinner. John even made homemade rolls from Mom's receipe. YUM! This is the same receipe that I make homemade bread with for those you have tasted some of that; so you know how good it is :)
THE BEST NEWS OF THE PAST WEEK IS THAT I AM MOVING!!!!!!
I am moving into a nice 1 bedroom apartment all by myself. No more roommates!!! You can't believe how excited I am. I move in the middle of December. More pics and updates later on this wonderful subject.
Here is the one picture of the day. It has been snowing here all afternoon. I guess Winter is officially here.
